KidsAid Celebrates Recognition at Royal Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey

KidsAid had the privilege of attending the Royal Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey to honour our work in supporting children and young people.

Our attendance was amongst various other inspiring individuals and charities from across the UK that go above and beyond to help build supportive, nurturing worlds for children.

The invitation means so much to us at KidsAid. It shows appreciation for our work supporting children and families and being recognised (alongside others making a positive impact) is truly humbling for us all.

Our CEO, Becca, was delighted to attend the event on 8th December 2023, and feels honoured to have received the invitation to such a prestigious event.

The atmosphere within the historic walls of Westminster Abbey was nothing short of magical. It was filled with festive decorations, which provided a beautiful festive backdrop for the special occasion.

It was also an opportunity to come together and connect with other likeminded organisations that further reinforce our commitment to supporting children, including our charity partner – The Spring Charity, where Spring Charity’s Manager, Tracey, and Becca enjoyed the experience together.

The celebration was led by The Princess of Wales and was supported by The Royal Foundation, where early years is a key focus area and linked to the Shaping Us campaign, that launched in January 2023.

The event was filmed for broadcast and will be aired on ITV and ITVX on Christmas Eve 2023 for the nation to witness. The Westminster Abbey choir performed beloved carols, alongside musical performances by guests including James Bay, Beverley Knight, and Adam Lambert.

Poignant readings were also delivered by speakers including The Prince of Wales, Emma Willis and Roman Kemp.

This experience was one KidsAid will never forget, and we feel honoured to have been acknowledged for our efforts to build happier, healthier lives for the youngest members of society.
