Face the Fire. Change a Life. Join the KidsAid Firewalk

Are you looking for a challenge that pushes your limits while making a real difference for children and young people? This February, KidsAid is inviting brave supporters to take part in an unforgettable fundraising experience: a sponsored firewalk in support of children’s mental health.

The KidsAid Firewalk will take place on Friday 13 February (during Children’s Mental Health week) at the Spinney Hill Pub on Kettering Road in Northampton. The event will run in the evening, with exact timings to be confirmed, and will be fully supported by professional firewalk organisers Big Giraffe Events, who are kindly helping us deliver a safe, inspiring experience.

How to Join

Participants will take part in a 90-minute preparation session, designed to help you understand the firewalking process, build confidence and learn how to approach the challenge safely. No previous experience is needed, just an open mind and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

The entry fee for the event is £40, with a suggested minimum sponsorship target of £250. Every pound raised will go directly towards helping KidsAid provide specialist creative therapies for children and young people who have experienced trauma, anxiety and emotional distress.

Friends and family are welcome to come along to cheer participants on, and the pub will be open for food and refreshments to help make it a supportive and social evening.

Firewalking is about more than walking across hot embers. It is about overcoming fear, building confidence and doing something powerful for others. For the children supported by KidsAid, your bravery helps create safe spaces, therapeutic support and brighter futures.

If you are ready to take on the challenge, or would like more information, please contact Charlotte Cornish, KidsAid’s Fundraising Manager, at charlotte@kidsaid.org.uk.

Take the step. Feel the fire. Help change a life.
