Marketing Lead Trustee

KidsAid seeks a Marketing Lead to advise in the development and implementation of a marketing and communications strategy to promote KidsAid and reach new audiences.

If you wish to make a long-term contribution to our community, we are your charity!

Our aim is to safeguard children so that early life trauma does not become a lifelong burden, and manifest into more serious issues in the future.

Your role as Marketing Lead will be vital!

You will have a lead role in broadening awareness of the charity’s values and priorities and increase visibility across a wider audience. This role is essential to ensure we can extend our reach to more families, and secure long-term funding to deliver our work.

We are looking for a Marketing Lead with the following qualities.

  • Strategic marketing, public relations, and social media experience.
  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret and work with a range of data and information and evaluate impact of activity.
  • A willingness to be available to the CEO and staff for advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis.

Person specification for Trustee:

  • A commitment to the organisation.
  • A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort.
  • Strategic vision.
  • Good, independent judgement.
  • An ability to think creatively.
  • A willingness to speak their mind.
  • An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship.
  • An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • A commitment to Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.

Time Commitment

The board meets in person in Northampton six times a year. There may also be occasional ‘away days’.

We prefer to meet in person to build and maintain a cohesive team, however, sub-committees may opt to meet online if preferred.

You should allow about 7 hours per month to include reading reports and attending meetings and events.
