Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy where performance arts are utilised within the therapeutic relationship.
Dramatherapy can support children, young people and adults. Sessions are client-led – the therapist will work with themes that the client brings to the sessions and healing aspects of drama including role-play, improvisation, movement, creation, puppetry, scriptwriting and storytelling are used to explore that theme under the guise of ‘play’ and ‘pretend’.
